　　环宇蓄电池放电后，可以用充电的方式使内部活性物质再生——把电能贮存为化学能；需求放电时再次把化学能转换为电能。将这类电池称为蓄电池，也称二次电池。所谓蓄电池即是储存化学能量，于必要时放出电能的一种电气化学设备。蓄电池是将化学能直接转化成电能的一种安装，是按可再充电设计的电池，经过可逆的化学反响完成再充电，通常是指铅酸蓄电池，它是电池中的一种，属于二次电池。它的工作原理：充电时应用外部的电能使内部活性物质再生，把电能贮存为化学能，需求放电时再次把化学能转换为电能输出，比方生活中常用的手机电池等。它用填满海绵状铅的铅基板栅（又称格子体）作负极，填满二氧化铅的铅基板栅作正极，并用密度1.26--1.33g/mlg/ml的稀硫酸作电解质。电池在放电时，金属铅是负极，发作氧化反响，生成硫酸铅；二氧化铅是正极，发作复原反响，生成硫酸铅。电池在用直流电充电时，两极分别生成单质铅和二氧化铅。移去电源后，它又恢复到放电前的状态，组成化学电池。铅蓄电池能重复充电、放电，它的单体电压是2V，电池是由一个或多个单体构成的电池组，简称蓄电池，最常见的是6V，其它还有2V、4V、8V、24V蓄电池。如汽车上用的蓄电池（俗称电瓶）是6个铅蓄电池串联成12V的电池组。目前现有蓄电池外壳构造强度不高，不具有散热效果，不容易装置和拆卸。
